Introducing Jamie


Jamie is the latest addition to the Do Digital team. Jamie has joined as the new Creative + Content manager. With a background in Graphic design working in creative agencies and marketing teams he has worked with a wide range of clients including Bovis Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Endsleigh Insurance, Connect Group PLC, Tuffnells, Dunkertons Cider, Brushbox and many more.

Jamie’s role will be to support the creative arm of the business, working alongside the imaginarians and clients to produce digital and print design, managing internal creative + content outputs.

1. Why did you join Do Digital?


I’ve worked for creative agencies and marketing teams throughout my career but have never really been exposed to the 3D world. As technology evolves, so is design and the expectations of a graphic designer. My skills combined with the 3D aspect of the business can really help take our work to the next level and provide a full range of new services under one roof. 


2. What is your favourite project you’ve worked on so far in your career?


My favourite project to date has to be creating a brand for a market town that is being built outside of Plymouth. I worked with another designer and won the pitch to three housing developers to build an identity that encompassed the different USP’s of the development and that did not represent any of the developers building there. 

Seeing the project evolve and witnessing my branding on the side of marketing suites, being used by three market leading property developers is definitely a highlight in my career. 


3. When did you know you wanted to work in the creative industry?


I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a designer but didn’t really know what Graphic Design was until I started learning about it in secondary school. It was something I felt I was naturally good at but after studying Art & Design at college I decided I didn’t want to go to university and study for a career I might not get a job in. 

From there, I worked in Financial Services as a Data analyst – probably  the most boring 5 years of my life. After being made redundant, I took that as the opportunity to do what I had always wanted to do, took the plunge and studied Graphic Design at Plymouth College of Art. 


4. What do you hope to bring to Do Digital? 


I hope to bring my ability of design along with my experience working with agencies and marketing departments to Do Digital and help grow the Creative arm of the business. As a multidisciplinary creative, I want to utilise my skills to really help and exceed our clients expectations with all the services they’re able to get under one roof.
